Encil

Encil is our dedicated internal inclusion space at Ysgol Friars, designed to support pupils in understanding and reflecting on their behaviour. It is a calm, structured environment where students are given the opportunity to reinforce school expectations, learn from their mistakes, and reset positively.

Pupils who attend Encil are supported in identifying what went wrong, exploring better choices for the future, and engaging in restorative conversations where appropriate. The aim is not just to manage behaviour, but to educate and empower pupils to take responsibility and make lasting improvements.

Encil is an important part of our graduated response to behaviour, helping pupils re-engage with learning while maintaining our high standards and inclusive ethos.
