Learning Hub

At Ysgol Friars pupils have access to the Learning hub before school, at lunch and break so that students are able to check-in with support staff. The area is also available for those who may need a little support in some subjects.

The hub is managed by our ALNco who is supported by a strong and dedicated Teaching Assistant Team. The Learning hub can offer bespoke support as well as various forms of intervention for targeted and small group learning. The interventions available are:

• Reading and spelling intervention
• Catch up Literacy and Numeracy intervention
• IDL literacy and Numeracy intervention
• Numeracy support intervention
• Handwriting intervention
