The safeguarding of our pupils and staff is of paramount importance. Ysgol Friars sees pupils’ wellbeing as a priority alongside their academic progress.
The safeguarding team is led by Mrs Allison Jamieson. Mrs Jamieson joined Ysgol Friars in September 2025 and is Assistant Headteacher responsible for safeguarding and attendance. She is also the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). The DSL’s role is to ensure that the school has robust policies and procedures in place, provides training for staff, and acts as a central point of contact for concerns about children's well-being.
Mrs Jamieson is supported by a dedicated pastoral team to ensure best practice in all aspects of child protection and pupil welfare across the School.
