Noson Agored Ysgol Friars Open Evening - 21/10/2025

How we support

At Ysgol Friars, we are proud to be an inclusive school that places wellbeing and positive relationships at the heart of everything we do. We believe that a supportive and respectful environment is essential for students to thrive both academically and personally.

We actively promote positive behaviour and foster strong, respectful relationships between staff and pupils. Our approach is rooted in consistency, care, and collaboration, ensuring every student feels valued and supported.

Support is provided through a structured network:

  1. Registration Tutors – These are the first point of contact for pupils each day, offering guidance, encouragement, and a familiar face to turn to.
  2. Heads of Year and Progress Leads – These staff members provide targeted support, monitor progress, and work closely with families to ensure every pupil is on track.
  3. Specialised Interventions – For pupils who need additional support, we offer tailored interventions that address specific behavioural, emotional, or wellbeing needs.

Together, these layers of support help us maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment where every pupil can succeed.
